They have excellent insulation properties , mechanical properties and chemical stability. They are used in the fields of adhesives, coatings and so on. Epoxy resin has hydroxyl group and epoxy group, which can react with isocyanate. Epoxy resin is directly added into the hydroxyl containing component of polyurethane adhesive as polyol. In this method, only hydroxyl participates in the reaction, and epoxy group fails to react.
